Francis ArthurBIDDLEIt is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Francis Arthur Biddle of Ratby, aged 96, on Saturday the 7th Jan 2023 at LGH. Truly devoted husband to the late Audrey May, the love of his life, and loving father to Linda, Ann, Chris, Gary, Paul and the late Janis and their husband and partners, Steve, Ian, Maxine and Sue. Granddad and Great-Grandad to 13. WWII Veteran, 14714105 Corporal Biddle of the Leicestershire Tigers Regiment, you have fought your final battle, stand easy. No words can express our gratitude to Dad's carers, Alliance SC and the wonderful care he was given by Stanley and his Team, past and present. And a huge thank you to Ward 15 and the fabulous care he received from the nursing staff. Francis's funeral service will take place at the Church of St Philip and St James, Ratby, on Tuesday 7th February 2023 at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please by polite request. Donations in lieu for the National Coal Mining Museum would be welcome.
